In Solutions for Cyclo-Cross, 20-year racing vet and elite cycling coach Adam Hodges Myerson helps out us picture smart and conceptualizing folks. He takes the three basics of 'cross-dismounting, mounting and carrying the bike-and shows them in detail over and over again, while explaining exactly what's going on. You'll see each step of getting off the bike while Myerson narrates. This lets you understand the whys and hows better than you would by simply watching your pals. (In fact, Myerson comes across as one of your pals; he's matter-of-fact, knowledgeable and down to earth.)

He also shows you some wrong ways, so you know what to avoid-again, better than watching your buddies and learning incorrect techniques. Best of all, Myerson gives you some secret tips, and shows some fun race footage from New England, so you'll see pros putting his advice into action. And when you take what you've learned outside to the bike, you might have your best season ever.

Not bad for 30 bucks.
