Editorial Review
The inexpensive, adjustable Velocity Velocage water bottle holder looks sharp and keeps your bottles looking that way too
More than fifteen years ago, the Velocage was the first offering from Australian wheel-and accessory-maker Velocity. Today, it's still one of the best bargains in cycling. (Velocity doesn't suggest retail prices, but my local shop, South Mountain Cycles, sells the Velocage for about nine bucks.) Instead of bolting the cage directly to your bike's frame, you attach it with two included aluminum mounting brackets, which allow you to adjust cage placement to some degree. The part that grabs the water bottle includes a soft protective bumper, which makes for a snug fit that won't scrape off bottle logos. Best of all, the Velocage comes in 19 colors-including bubble gum pink, eggplant purple and green anodized-so you won't have any problem matching your cage to your bike. If that's your kind of thing, I mean.
