Editorial Review

Baggy shorts usually come in two varieties: Long and heavy or short and flimsy. Jett's Raptor model offers a nice balance between the two. The tough ripstop exterior can withstand hard crashes, without being excessively heavy. The short's length is cut just above the knee (at least for most riders), which is a nice alternative to many shorts that droop below the knee.

The Raptors have plenty of other features to make long days in the saddle more enjoyable. Front and rear vents keep your legs cool, while the combination of twin-snap front closures and Velcro micro-adjustments on the waist offer a snug fit. Two side pockets offer plenty of storage, too. Whether you're looking for a fashionable pair of cross-country shorts or something that can withstand bike-park abuse, the Raptor is a great option.—Lou Mazzante
